VBox Announces Support for Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004

DTA150 and DTA151 add Digital High Definition television reception and recording to Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004

Las Vegas NV, Monday 19, 2004- VBox Communications, a private company partially held by Optibase (Nasdaq:OBAS), a leading provider of digital broadcast receivers, today announced support for PCs running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 in its latest generation of Digital TV ATSC cards, DTA-150 and DTA-151.

DTA150 and DTA151 for use with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
VBox DTA150 and DTA151 cards when operated with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 enable the users to watch and record Digital High Definition television using the PC. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 is available pre-installed on Media Center PCs and delivers advanced computing, plus easy-to-use integrated digital entertainment including live and recorded television, movies, music, photos and radio. The customer’s digital media is all in one place, accessible on either a PC monitor or television display, using a single remote control.
VBox DTA150 and DTA151, plug-in PCI boards with an ATSC reception front-end, allow digital broadcasting reception. DTA151 supports also capturing of analog video for conversion of home analog videos to Digital format.

Availability
DTA150 with BDA drivers suitable for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 is already available. DTA151 will be available in May 2004.
VBox at NAB 2004
VBox Communications will demonstrate the DTA150 at the NAB show in Las Vegas, April 19 – 22, in Optibase’s booth SL2463. In addition, VBox will demonstrate the DTA150 in the Digital Landscape event held on April 19 at 16:30 in room N261.
